It's Eliana Light... and Friends! Music, movement, and fun Jewish learning, for young kiddos and their grownups. Featuring Sheepie the sheep and amazing guests! Grab an instrument, real or imaginary, if you'd like to play along.
Eliana Light provides meaningful music, inclusive ritual, and powerful programs for kids and families. Energetic, exciting, and even educational, Eliana Light sings about Jewish things and will get you singing, too! Her songs can be found on her two albums, PJ Library compilations, and sung by kids the world over. Eliana provides artist-in-residence weekends, family services, immersive Shabbat and holiday programs, and consulting and training for educators. She is the author of Hebrew in Harmony, a curriculum published by Behrman House that teaches prayer and Hebrew through music. She is also the founder of the G!D Project, an educational initiative focused on accessible, meaningful conversations about G!D and spirituality through ritual, text, and creative expression. Eliana received her Masters in Jewish Experiential Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2016. She has taught at the Union for Reform Judaism Biennial, the Rabbinical Assembly convention, the NewCAJE Jewish Education Conference, Limmud New York, Limmud UK, Songleader Boot Camp, Hava Nashira, and the Jewish Theological Seminary, and she was named to the Jewish Week’s 36 under 36 in 2019. In her consulting work, she guides synagogues to discover the “why” of their prayer life, allowing them to offer deeper, more meaningful experiences to more people. Eliana Light is based in Durham, North Carolina.
